EyeSight® is a second pair of eyes that monitors the road ahead and recognises potentially dangerous driving situations.
Using three-dimensional images captured by cameras mounted at the top of the front windscreen, EyeSight® provides audible and visual warnings to prompt the driver to take action. EyeSight® will also apply automatic braking intervention, when necessary, to help avoid or reduce the severity of a detected frontal collision.
Subaru and EyeSight® have been recognised by respected researcher Canstar Blue for our "dedication to improving the safety of both road-users and pedestrians” by winning the Canstar Blue Innovation Excellence Award. EyeSight® is a great safety feature to have as standard on any vehicle.
How Eyesight® works
When the driver becomes distracted or fatigued and does not react quickly to a potentially dangerous traffic situation, the EyeSight® system is designed to assist the driver to either avoid an accident or reduce the severity of frontal accidents.
